H13. Who is your landlord?

Why we ask this question

Your answer will help your community by showing the balance of social and privately rented accommodation in your area. Local and central government will use this information to understand any changes in the demand for housing. They can then develop and improve plans for housing in your area.

The census first asked this question in 2001.

Your landlord is generally a person or organisation that owns your property and either charges you rent to live there or lets you live there rent-free.

Arm's-Length Management Organisation (ALMO)

If your accommodation is managed by an ALMO, select "Council or local authority".
