Children at boarding school and students living away

This is advice for families with children at boarding school and students living away during term time.

Children and students should be counted at both their term-time address and their home address. This means they should be included on a census form at both addresses, even if they've only left their term-time address temporarily for the Easter break.

Boarders and students should be included in the questions about who lives in this household.

They may also be recorded at their educational establishment on a separate census form.
