Census 2021 interactive content : Build a custom area profile

Our new interactive tool, "Build a custom area profile", does exactly what the name suggests. It allows you to create your own area profile for local areas in England and Wales using Census 2021 data.

You can get data for different area types, for example your neighbourhood, ward or parish. You can even draw your own area on a map. You can then build a profile of the area you’ve selected with data from Census 2021.

For example, you can show the number of people and households in your customised area. You can also create simple charts showing percentages of people in your area broken down by age group, the jobs they work in, country of birth and more.
